A poem to live by
June 4, 2006 by Brent
A very appropriate poem that can apply to many individuals as they make choices that will have life lasting consequences. I thought of it as I read a post from Jay Cross (Internet Time Blog) about people are bloggers are they are not - bloggers. It’s becoming more apparent to me that the many of the poeple I know and have great respect for as communicators have little to no interest in blogs and blogging. This is a puzzle for me as I can’t understand how such bright and smart people don’t see the link that blogging can play in ones learning. Jay’s comments, I think are bang on the mark.
“There are three types of people in this world, those who can count and those who cannot. No, no, no. I meant to say there are two types of people: bloggers and non-bloggers.
Some people are born bloggers. They are driven to share their discoveries, record their thoughts, help other people, and/or show their art. They enjoy writing. Frequently. Honestly.”
To every man there openeth A way, and ways, and a way.
And the high soul climbs the high way, And the low soul gropes the low:
And in between, on the misty flats, The rest drift to and fro.
But to every man there openeth A high way and a low,
And every man decideth. The way his soul shall go.
